Goal: Be the first player to move all 5 of your pieces off the board (past square 30). The player who "bears off" all 5 pieces first wins the game!
1. Setup and Movement
- Pieces start alternating on the first row (1-10).
- Pieces move in a zig-zag path: Row 1 (1-10, Left to Right) -> Row 2 (11-20, Right to Left) -> Row 3 (21-30, Left to Right).
2. Throwing the Sticks
The **Throw Sticks** button simulates the 4 ancient throwing sticks. The result (1 to 5) tells you how many squares you must move one piece.
Extra Turn Rule: You get to throw again if you roll a **1, 4, or 5**!
3. Capturing and Safety
- Capturing: If you land on an opponent's piece, you swap places! Your piece stays on the target square, and their piece goes all the way back to the square you just left.
- Safety: If an opponent has two or more pieces next to each other (adjacent), they are **protected** (a blockade) and cannot be captured. You cannot land on them.
- You can only have one piece per square.
4. Special Houses
- Square 15 (House of Rebirth ☥): A safe space and the return destination from the House of Water.
- Square 27 (House of Water 🌊): **DANGER!** If you land here, your piece immediately returns to Square 15 (or the nearest empty space before 15). Your turn ends.
- Square 28 (House of Three Judges â—ª): Requires an **exact roll of 3** to move the piece off the board.
- Square 29 (House of Two Judges â—ª):** Requires an **exact roll of 2** to move the piece off the board.
- Square 30 (House of Horus ð“‚€): Any remaining roll (1, 4, or 5) will bear the piece off the board successfully.
